3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari takes you to the most popular national park to explore over 86 species of mammals typically spotted while on a game drive, including: Cape buffalo, African elephants, Waterbucks and the tree climbing lions. This is also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 613 bird species including Purple Gallinule, Purple and Goliath Heron, the globally threatened Pallid Harrier, all viewed on the magnificent Mweya Peninsula, a beautiful waterfront locale within the shadows of Mountain Rwenzori. Your boat trip on Kazinga Channel lasts over two hours, and will expose you to wildlife and water birds. The Maramagambo Forest is habitat to an attractive diversity of monkeys plus birds. The crater lakes hold thousands of the beautiful pink flamingos, while the Kyambura Gorge is habitat to habituated chimpanzees.
Day 01: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Take breakfast before being picked up from your place of residence by your driver/guide who will brief you about the 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari. Later on, embark on your drive, which will take about six hours. Most importantly have a stopover at the equator for photos, then lunch in Mbarara town, and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the evening visit the traditional salt industries and learn about methods of mining. Later on visit the Crater Lake region. Dinner and overnight.
Day 02: Morning Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Take a morning cup of tea and later on embark on a game drive in Mweya peninsula, attractively positioned with the two lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward, separated by Kazinga Channel. You will be provided with an opportunity to view different wild animals like; Cape buffalo, bushbucks, giant forest hogs, leopards, African elephants, and lions, among others. Later, return to the lodge for a late breakfast. In the afternoon, following lunch, head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, to spot numerous birds and water animals like crocodiles and hippos among others. Have dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge and Departure
Have breakfast and later on drive to Kyambura Gorge for a nature walk in the forest looking for primates like chimpanzees, baboons and many more. Later on drive back to Kampala with lunch en route. You will reach Kampala late in the evening. End of 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari.
